What you do

DragonScape Idle is a skilling RPG. You choose an activity and it runs on its own: chop logs, mine ore, catch fish. What you gather feeds the next skill. Logs become arrows, ore becomes armour, fish becomes food for combat.

• Skills from level 1 to 99. Gathering (Mining, Fishing, Woodcutting, Farming, Thieving, Exploring), production (Smithing, Cooking, Crafting, Fletching, Firemaking, Runecrafting, Brewing), combat (Melee, Ranged, Magic, Hitpoints), plus Prayer and Pets.
• Combat with a triangle. Melee beats Ranged, Ranged beats Magic, Magic beats Melee. Picking the wrong style against a monster really costs you.
• Dungeons with waves that run in order, and a chest at the end.
• Over 1000 quests in story chains, plus skill guilds with an endgame chain and a Skill Cape each.
• Pets to collect, weekly boards and time-limited events.

Free means the whole game

This is not a demo and not a free tier with a token shop. Every skill, quest, dungeon and item is reachable by playing. There is no advertising. Players who want to support the developer can use Patreon, which gives a bigger daily gem bonus and nothing else.

Offline progress that is actually simulated

Most idle games give you a lump of resources when you come back, based on a rate. DragonScape Idle replays the time you were away: the same actions, the same drop rolls, the same quest credit. So a night away can finish a quest step or drop a rare item. The offline window starts at 12 hours and permanent upgrades raise it to 24.

Phone or desktop

It runs in any modern browser. The interface is built for phones first, and you can add it to your home screen for an app icon. Play as a guest to start. Sign in with Google or email when you want one save across your phone and your computer.

Is it for you?

It suits you if you like RuneScape's skilling or Melvor Idle, watching numbers go up, planning which skill to train next, and checking in a few times a day. It is single-player: there is a leaderboard and community events, but no player trading. It is made by one developer and is in open beta, so balance still changes between releases. The item and monster icons are AI-generated images.

Is DragonScape Idle really free?

Yes. The whole game is free in a browser and there is nothing to buy inside it.

Do I need to download anything or make an account?

No. Open the page and play as a guest. An account is optional and adds a cloud save.

Does it keep progressing when I close the tab?

Yes, for up to 12 hours to start and up to 24 with upgrades. The time away is replayed, not estimated.

Where are the drop rates and XP values?

On the DragonScape Idle Wiki. Every stat table there is generated from the game's own data on each release. Good places to start: XP rates and money making.
