DragonScape Idle

An idle RPG that runs in your browser

Open a tab and you are playing. Your hero trains skills, fights monsters and works through quests on their own, so you can keep the game in a corner of the screen while you work, study or watch something.

Play in your browser

No download, no launcher, no wait

DragonScape Idle loads like a web page. There is no installer, no launcher and no patch to sit through. You can start as a guest straight away, and sign in with Google or email later when you want a cloud save. Updates arrive on their own: the next time the page loads, you have the new version.

A real RPG, played at your own pace

You pick an activity and it keeps running. What you gather feeds the next skill, so every hour adds up to something.

Close the tab, keep progressing

When you return, the game replays the time you were away with the same actions and drop rolls it would have used live. A night away can finish a quest step or drop a rare item. The offline window starts at 12 hours and permanent upgrades raise it to 24.

Same hero on your phone and computer

The interface is built for small screens first and reads well on a wide monitor too. Sign in and the same save follows you between devices. On Android the game is also on Google Play.

Free, with nothing locked

The whole game is free and there are no ads. Every skill, quest, dungeon and item is reachable by playing. Players who want to support the developer can use Patreon for a larger daily gem bonus; it locks no content. DragonScape Idle is made by one developer and is in open beta, so balance still changes between releases. The item and monster icons are AI-generated images.

Questions

Which browsers does it run in?

Any modern browser on a computer or a phone: Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Nothing to install.

Do I have to keep the tab open?

No. The time you were away is replayed when you return, for up to 12 hours to start and up to 24 with upgrades.

Is my progress saved if I clear my browser?

As a guest your save lives in that browser. Sign in with Google or email for a cloud save that survives a cleared browser.

Will my progress carry over when the game launches?

No. The game is in open beta, and at the global launch every account starts again from zero, so new and old players begin on the same day. Your beta play builds a gem reward that is paid out on launch day, and accounts created before launch keep a permanent Open Beta banner. The reward needs a Google or email sign-in. The Global Launch guide has the details.
